When I was born, my mother was only 20 years old and still studying so my grandmother raised me until she passed away and my mother had to resume her position as a mother.
Both women mean the absolute most to me and I wouldn’t change how I was raised at all because I was raised by two amazing human beings.

Like the montage says, the first time I remember drawing, I asked my grandmother (may she rest in peace) to draw a flower for me so I can colour it in, she did it the wrong way so I showed her how to do it and I ended up drawing the flower myself.
This is when the artist in me appeared; from then on I started drawing and colouring a lot. I was known for my gift of art and I recognize the beginning of it all with my grandmother. I feel like she brought out the gift in me.

Since my grandmother passed away, I always feel like she’s watching over us. Even though I don’t remember much about her since I was just a child, there’s one memory I’ll never forget and that’s the day I saw her pass-on on her bedroom bed.
I never knew she was sick because she never showed it to me, she wholeheartedly took care of me with no complains under her condition. She is an angel, an angel watching over us from heaven.
